Craft Theatre company member Helen Foster brings her one-woman family- friendly show The Diver to the Rag Factory this July – an underwater adventure story following explorer Kate Plank as she attempts to walk across the Atlantic Ocean floor from England to New York.
“raw, emotional performances” (Everything Theatre)
The Diver is a playful, imaginative show
drawing on puppetry, physical theatre and
clowning to explore the depths of the Ocean and the fear that can stand in our way. Follow Kate Plank’s incredible adventure and ask yourself: what perils will she face?! Will she arrive safely on the other side?! Will the audience drown?!! (unlikely – most water is imaginary)
“an unforgettable experience that will stay with you” (Bargain Theatreland)
The Diver is an intimate performance from actor and improviser Helen Foster, devised by her and Craft Theatre artistic director Rocky Rodriguez Jr. Helen has performed internationally and is known for her work with Craft Theatre, who had recent success with their adaptation of Dante’s Inferno, which played at the Rag Factory earlier this year.
