Old Sole is a collaborative network, founded by theatre-makers James Neale and Jon Parry. Our focus is to develop and nurture new work that will excite, engage and challenge our contributors and audiences alike.
This partnership is passionate about exploring the space where theatre, music and movement collide. With our ever-growing network of creative associates, we work to craft unique and thought-provoking theatre and performance.

‘Project W.O.L.F’ is a micro-festival of emerging performers, writers and creators exploring and celebrating original feminist performance.
This one-night festival combines music, dance, solo performance, writing, photography and design created by a network of engaged, young professionals from around the UK (and beyond).
Our August 1st event includes a rehearsed reading of Ingunn Lara Kristjansdottir’s epic new space play, ‘Toward The Unknown’, a musical collaboration between Doireann Mac Mahon & Faye Ventre and the premier of Old Sole’s one-act fantasy protest play, ‘W.O.L.F’ (Women of the Liberated Frontier).
With support from London Theatre Workshop, Fulham, we see Project W.O.L.F as the prelude to a far more diverse, extensive and inclusive festival of theatre, art and performance, created by modern feminists for a broad audience, from all walks of life.

Old Sole was formed in late 2014 by Rose Bruford graduates, Jon Parry & James Neale. Our mission was (and remains to be) to create challenging, engaging and inspirational multi-disciplinary theatre, with a growing network of creative excellence. In September 2014, we created a Music Hall event at The Fighting Cocks, Dartford (voted Best Family Pub in Great Britain, 2014). Our ensemble treated sold out audiences to a taste of an authentic London pub Music Hall, with a huge range of Victorian songs, stories and acts. All proceeds of the event we’re donated to Cancer Research UK & Cystic Fibrosis UK. We more than doubled our initial £500 target, donating a massive £1136.55. In subsequent months, Old Sole have also led numerous free-of-charge workshops and open rehearsals for young/establishing performers.
